Rep. Shannon Savick voted twice in favor of the $90 million office building for legislators.

This is to provide offices for the legislators who are in session about 160 days out of 730.

At first a Twin Cities paper said she misspoke when she denied her votes for this extravagant expenditure of taxpayers’ money.

Then she said it was the Senate Rules Committee. We are becoming a laughingstock because our representative does not know what she is doing or does not remember. I will not say she was trying to be dishonest with us.

But this is over $1.3 million for each legislator’s office. Think about how much your home cost and then how much Rep. Savick voted to spend on legislators’ offices used only a few days a year.

We need to elect Peggy Bennett because she will be thrifty with taxpayers’ funds.
