Ruth Neidermeier

Ruth was born Aug. 14, 1937, in Windber, Pa., to parents Emmanuel and Edna (Leighow) Crew.

Ruth married Wesley Neidermeier, and in the 1980s Wesley served as pastor of Assembly of God Church in Ellendale. The Neidermeiers moved to St. Paul after they left the Ellendale and Geneva area. In 2009 Wesley and Ruth moved to Florida, settling in Macclenny and attended Christian Fellowship Temple.

This beautiful lady will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family. Ruth will be deeply missed by her family and those who knew and loved her. Ruth will be remembered for her unconditional love.

Ruth had a real joy of music, loved to cook and bake, and really enjoyed spending time on the beach in Florida, which was precious to her.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Wesley Neidermeier; sons Joel (Shirley) Neidermeier, Scott Neidermeier, Mark (Remy) Neidermeier and Keith (Kathy) Neidermeier; sister, Janet Crouse; eight grandchildren, Remark, Chris, Mary Jane, Kristin, Kyle, James, Matthew and Alex; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by brothers James A. Crew and William Crew.

Death is not an ending when one leaves behind a legacy of love and service to others. Remembering Ruth is a gift. Love is real. All the rest doesn’t matter. Teach us to laugh again, Lord, but never let us forget why we cried.
