Sheriff editorial hit nail on head

I was most impressed with the Albert Lea Tribune’s editorial endorsing Bob Kindler for Freeborn County sheriff. You have done your homework and paid attention to the issues. You are also well-spoken to say that every agency has issues. They do. Good work by the press.

While I am not a Freeborn County voter, I can offer this; I spent 5 1/2 years of my now 24-year career in law enforcement as a Freeborn County deputy. I worked with both of the candidates. Bob Kindler was one of the deputies who trained me in. Kurt was hired later. I left the county only to return to my hometown and continue my career.

Being the press you have also hit perfectly on some personality traits of both candidates. Again, I worked with both of them. Freeborn County voters, just what have the issues raised been driven by? What emotions have been shown? I see them like they were when I worked along side both of them. I would be voting for Sheriff Kindler. Freeborn County, you have a great Sheriff’s Office.
