Interested parties are invited to attend an update on the Blazing Star Trail Wednesday in Hayward.

Joel Wagar, area supervisor of trails and waterways for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, will be present. The meeting is at 6 p.m. at the Hayward City Hall.

The Blazing Star Trail is a six-mile paved trail for bicycling, walking and jogging that stretches from Frank Hall Park to a point inside Myre-Big Island State Park. The next phase of the trail calls for connecting with Hayward.
