MENDOTA HEIGHTS — Dakota County authorities have charged a St. Paul woman who they say beat her boss over the head with a piece of metal.

Twenty-five-year-old Waasohn Dorliae was charged Thursday with second-degree assault. Authorities say her supervisor at a metal finishing plant in Mendota Heights told her on Oct. 30 she likely wouldn’t have a job the next day because she was late to her shift.

Authorities say she repeatedly hit her boss in the head and face with a one-pound metal plate with a sharp edge that had been lying nearby. They say he suffered multiple cuts to his face and head before falling to the ground.
