Body of missing woman, 91, found in Rochester

ROCHESTER — Rochester police said the body of a missing 91-year-old woman has been found behind a home.

Relatives found the body of Marie Schinke about 11 a.m. Wednesday in southwest Rochester.

Police believe Schinke died from either a medical emergency or from the cold. Foul play is not suspected.

Schinke was last seen by her family about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. She was missing Wednesday morning when her family came to her home to check on her. That prompted a widespread police search.

Police said Schinke had a history of wandering from home. However, this time her coat and purse were left behind.
