Fire department offers call-in program

Published 4:16 pm Wednesday, December 31, 2014

Albert Lea firefighters are reminding city residents about the city’s reassurance call-in program, which is designed to give elderly or single people daily contact with the Fire Department.

Under the program, the resident calls in every morning between 8 and 11 a.m. to let the department know that all is well. If someone does not call by 11 a.m., then a firefighter calls to check on them.

If there is no answer, a firefighter will go to that person’s home to make sure everything is OK.
