Marsha Kay “Adams” Haberkorn, 57, of Hollandale, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, after a long battle with lung disease. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania

Marsha was born on Oct. 10, 1957, in Mason City. Marsha devoted her life to caring for others. She received her nursing assistant certificate from North Iowa Area Community College in 1977; her licensed practical nursing degree from Dakota County Technical College in 1992; and her bachelor’s in nursing from Regents College of New York in 1998.
She enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, baking, reading and gardening. Marsha had a big and loving heart taking in stray kids and animals.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Dennis; her children Brent and Sarah; her grandchildren, Aleighna, Nason and Tristan; her mother and father in-law, Robert and Bonnie Haberkorn; her siblings: Matthew Adams and his wife Deborah, Paula Weaver and her husband Cecil, Sue Nitcher, and Mary Adams and her special friend Don Hutzell; her sister in-laws, Becky Person and her husband Jim and Christy Serba and her husband Jeff; as well as, numerous, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, friends and cats.
She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Adams; parents: Paul Adams, Marie Hasty; step-father, Pat Hasty; and brother, Marvin Adams.
