Kathleen Kay Schewe, 70, of Alden died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at Parkview Care Center.  Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. until the hour of the service at 4 p.m. Elders Don Larson and Charles Johnsrud will officiate. Kathleen Schewe

Kathleen Kay was born March 9, 1944, the daughter of Orville and Leona (Schaudt) Sauer in Albert Lea.

On March 16, 1963, she was united in marriage to Veryl Schewe at Concordia Lutheran Church in Pickerel Lake.

Kathleen is survived by her mother, Leona, of Albert Lea; husband of 51 years, Veryl, of Alden; four sons, Allen (wife, Michele) Schewe, of Corder, Missouri, Brett Schewe (fiancee, Maxine) of Hutchinson, Stephen Schewe of Alden and Thomas Schewe of Austin; three grandchildren, Daniel of Omaha, Tyler of Corder and Nathan of Corder; three siblings, Roxanne (husband, George) Koolmo of Champlain, Carla (husband, Charles) Granholm of Austin and John Sauer of West St. Paul; one sister-in-law, Marlys Steele, of Albert Lea; along with five nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father.
