Funeral services for Lois M. Bogenschutz will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.

Lois died Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at Mason City Hospice House.

Lois Mae Bogenschutz was born in Albert Lea Nov. 30, 1925, the daughter of Perle and Bendikka (Hovland) Floyd. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1943.

On Jan. 6, 1946, she married Eldo Bogenschutz. They raised four children and farmed in Freeborn County. Lois enjoyed volunteering as an adult leader in 4-H, gardening, quilting and playing games with her grandchildren. She was very active in her church, teaching Sunday school, release time and leading Bible studies. Lois was a member of Crossroads Church. Her love for the Lord and knowledge of the Bible was reflected in her life.

Lois had a gentle, loving spirit that impacted those around her. She is survived by her four children, Becky Koch of Littleton, Colorado, Cindy Follmuth (Paul) of Northwood, Tom Bogenschutz (, Tess) of Champlin and Mike Bogenschutz (Jill) of The Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren Dan Follmuth (Tara), Renae Follmuth, Nicole Kronebusch (Jason), Rachel Waterman (Jim), David Follmuth (Jackie), Andy Bogenschutz, Carol Vandell (Russ), Brad Koch (Liz), Laura Bogenschutz, Alec Bogenschutz and Louisa Bogenschutz; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Joann Modderman, of Albert Lea; brother-in-law, Ray Ewing, of Albert Lea; and many nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldo; brother, Warren Floyd; sister, Janet Ewing; son-in-law, Ron Koch; and granddaughter, Linda Bogenschutz.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Northwood Lutheran Retirement Home and Hidden Creek Assisted Living Center in Albert Lea for their wonderful care.
