Against the No. 3 team in Class AAA, the Albert Lea boys’ basketball team looked to improve on Dec. 9th’s 12-point loss.

However, the Tigers lost 69-32 Friday at Red Wing.

Albert Lea struggled from the field and shot 26 percent.

“In the first half, we missed out on some opportunities to attack the rim,” said Tigers coach Lucas Kreuscher. “We need to focus more on good shot selection.”

The game was Albert Lea’s fifth in an eight-day span.

Red Wing (17-3, 14-2 Big Nine) won its sixth straight game.

Next, Albert Lea (0-20, 0-16 Big Nine) will host Faribault (9-10, 6-10 Big Nine) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
