Cannon Valley Civil War Roundtable will meet at its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Faribault Senior Center, 19 W. Division St. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Karl Fredrickson, native of Northfield, will be the presenter. His talk will be on “The Final Surrender: Sherman, Johnston and Davis in North Carolina, April 1865;  ‘Never to see Each Other Again.’”

Fredrickson studied history at St. Olaf College and Fordham University. He taught history for 35 years in New York at a Waldorf High School before returning to Northfield. Now in retirement, he still travels to other schools to teach students and work with teachers on curriculum development.
