Dan began his career working for Queens Products for three years until he settled in at Streater, where he worked for 30 years. Aside from work, Dan enjoyed going to the lake lot, fishing, pheasant hunting, camping, motorcycle rides and trips to South Dakota to the Buffalo Roundup and the Black Hills. Dan was a sports fan, playing hockey in high school and early adulthood. Dan was always a caring person. Throughout his adult life, he could always be counted on by those he loved. When anyone needed him, he was always there. He enjoyed helping his parents out, no matter how great or small the task at hand. He was a wonderful provider and protector for his wife and children, as well as a steady and calming force in the lives he touched. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his Popsicle Buddy: his granddaughter, Jayla. She would come to “Grandpa Dan’s Daycare” where they had endless playtime together. He was a loving grandfather to her.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marilyn Dahl.
