Jodi Rathai, 46, of Kiester died Friday, March 21, 2015, at her home surrounded by loved ones. A memorial mass will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery and the Rev. Thomas Niehaus will officiate. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home of Wells is in charge of arrangements. She was born April 12, 1968, to Linda (Lindholm) Stallman and Cliff Meyer. Jodi graduated from Wells-Easton High School in 1986. She enjoyed her job and especially her coworkers at Minnesota Corrugated Box in Albert Lea.
Jodi was blessed with two children, daughter Mckayla Rathai (with Tracy Rathai) and daughter Taylor Ignaszewski (with Jason Ignaszewski). Jodi enjoyed reading, country music and ’80s music, and playing with her dog, Max. She spent her time playing bingo, pool, cards and socializing with friends. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her adorable grandchildren Hayden Haukoos and Allie Redig.
Jodi is survived by her children McKayla Rathai and her daughter, Allie, and Taylor Ignaszewski and her son, Hayden; mother, Linda (John) Stallman, of Blue Earth; stepmother, Julie Meyer, of Wells; siblings Scott (Linda) Meyer and children Derek and RaeAnn of Mankato, Becky (Loren) Prange of Minnesota Lake, Clint Meyer and daughter, Kendra, of Albany, Clayton Meyer and daughters Morgan and Madelyn of Minnesota Lake and TJ (Elizabeth) Stallman and daughter, Parker, of Elmore; grandmother, May Lindholm, of Wells; along with several uncles, aunts and their families and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Carter Redig; father, Cliff Meyer; grandparents Clifford Lindholm and Herman and Lena Meyer; and uncle, Robert Lindholm.
