NORWOOD YOUNG AMERICA — Sheriff’s officials said the deaths of a couple in Carver County are an apparent murder-suicide.
Deputies were called to a residence in Norwood Young America about 5 p.m. Wednesday by a man who had returned home to find his male roommate dead in the garage.
Deputies searched the residence and found a woman who had suffered a gunshot wound to the head concealed in a plastic waterfowl decoy bag. Investigators said the man in the garage, identified as 51-year-old Milo Willis Leistiko, apparently shot and killed 23-year-old Lanaea Ann Harrison, placed her body in the decoy bag, then turned the gun on himself.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is helping with the investigation.
