Always remember to show respect

Each Monday I look forward to reading the column that Julie Seedorf writes. On Monday March 3, she wrote about respect.
When I taught at Riverland, we had posters located around the building. In big bold letters the poster read “EXPECT RESPECT.” It seems simple enough. In order to get respect you must give respect. Plus, expect that people are going to show respect. Wouldn’t it be nice if people did just that? Showed respect.
We can show our respect for others in many places. The movie theater (don’t text), while driving (don’t text), at the grocery store (be courteous). There are many others.
Opinions on various matters are always going to be different. But it doesn’t mean we can’t show respect.
