Center will host safe food workshop

Suzanne Driessen, University of Minnesota Extension food safety educator, will provide an overview of the Minnesota 2014 safe food sampling law, according to a press release. Attendees will learn how to offer food samples at the Safe Food Sampling at Farmers Markets workshop from 10 a.m. to noon May 6 at the Freeborn County Courthouse.  Vendors and food demonstrators will learn how to prepare and offer food samples implementing safe food handling practices to minimize the risk of foodborne illness.
