The third annual Bolan Schoolhouse Variety Show will be at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Barton No. 2 schoolhouse building at 4206 Tulip Lane in Kensett, five miles east and one mile north.

A dedication in memory of Dennis May will take place at the beginning of the program. An area-wide adult chorus has been rehearsing under the direction of Zack Carlson with accompanist Pat Mackin, according to a press release. They are preparing to share some top songs done by Elvis Presley.

Special guest Travis Charlson will be singing Elvis songs and youth from the neighboring school districts of St. Ansgar, Northwood-Kensett and Central Springs will share vocal, instrumental and speech performances.

Elvis’ 80th birthday cake will be served following the show. Tickets, which are $8, can be reserved by calling Linda Nydegger at 641-748-2385. Seating is limited to the first 80, and there is handicap accessibility.
