2 arrested for DWI

Albert Lea police arrested Christopher Robert Carr, 32, for second-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 12:48 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of East Front Street and South Newton Avenue.

Albert Lea police arrested Katelynn Tiffany Tripp, 18, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and underage drinking after a traffic crash at 1:28 a.m. Sunday at 1147 S. Broadway.

3 cited for underage drinking

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies cited at least three people for underage drinking at 1:39 a.m. Sunday after receiving a report of a party with loud music at 708 Larimore Circle. According to the Sheriff’s Office logs, deputies cited Luis Armando Hidalgo Murillo, 19, Cheyenne Debra Goodhart, 19, and a juvenile for underage drinking

 

Items stolen from vehicles

A rock was reported thrown through the window of a 2015 Chevy pickup at 7:34 a.m. Friday at 1006 St. Thomas Ave. Credit cards and cash were taken.

A portable DVD player was reported stolen out of an unlocked truck at 9:14 a.m. Friday at 1605 Portland Ave. The theft reportedly took place sometime overnight Thursday.

Items were reported stolen from a car at 8:05 p.m. Friday at 1617 Crystal Drive.

 

Thefts reported

Items were reported missing at 10:42 a.m. Thursday at 2530 Bridge Ave.

A tool bag with tools were reported stolen at 8:43 p.m. Friday at 13383 690th Ave., Emmons.

A fence was cut and a vehicle was reported stolen at 9:28 a.m. Monday from the lot of Allen’s Tow and Travel, 128 Garfield Ave.

Two power saws were reported stolen at 11:15 a.m. Monday from 515 Triangle Drive. The owner believed they had been stolen sometime in the last month.

 

Hit-and-run reported

Albert Lea police received a report at 6:38 p.m. Thursday of a hit-and-run that had taken place in the Market Place parking lot earlier in the day.

 

School bus violation reported

A school bus stop arm violation was reported at 5:06 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Fountain Street and Park Avenue. A blue Ford Escort reportedly drove through the stop sign when the bus was dropping off three children at about 3:30 p.m.

 

Man cited for marijuana

Police cited Casey Allen Schultz, 19, for driving after revocation, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 12:29 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of St. Thomas Avenue and Ramsey Street.

 

Shortchange artist reported

A shortchange artist was reported at 4:44 p.m. Saturday at 116 Bridge Ave.

 

Man arrested for assault

Albert Lea police arrested Matthew Wayne Jones, 22, for gross misdemeanor obstructing with force and fourth-degree assault at 11:49 p.m. Saturday at 411 E. Fifth St.

 

Man cited for disorderly conduct

Police cited Roderick Anthony Monroe, 26, for disorderly conduct at 12:51 a.m. Sunday at 134 W. William St.
