A.L. gas station robbed

Two black males wearing ski masks reportedly robbed the Mileage gas station on Front Street in Albert Lea Friday night before assaulting one of the workers and then leaving the store.
One of the males reportedly brandished a small black handgun and demanded money from a store employee, according to the Albert Lea Police Department.
The employee gave the male an undisclosed amount of cash and was then assaulted before the two males left the store together in a vehicle.
No information had been released about the vehicle or the extent of the employee’s injuries.
The alleged armed robbery took place at about 10 p.m. The gas station is at 1311 W. Front St.

Albert Lea police were assisted at the scene by the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and Gold Cross Ambulance.
