Area equipment dealer hopes to increase service this year

One southern Minnesota John Deere dealer hopes to improve even more on customer service in the coming year.
Ag Power Enterprises of Hollandale, Owatonna, Belle Plain, Northwood and Osage, Iowa, has been around since 1944 and is family owned.
The first store was in Hollandale, and Paul Murphy with Ag Power said it has since expanded to the four other cities. The two Iowa locations were added last spring.

Ag Power specializes in farm equipment, Murphy said. They have a large selection of new and used lawn mowers and compact utility tractors.
Ag Power is also one of the largest commercial self-propelled sprayer dealers in northeast Minnesota, northern Iowa and western Wisconsin, Murphy said.
Murphy said he is proud of the respected reputation Ag Power has built up in the area through the years.
“The Owatonna location welcomes its customers to a very state-of-the-art feeling, great work environment,” Murphy said.
Murphy said Ag Power is set apart from other companies because of its service, parts availability, expanded coverage area and people, calling the company “very family oriented.”
Besides being a John Deere dealer, Ag Power is a licensed Stihl dealer as well as a certified Honda Power Equipment dealer. The company offers a line of mowers, tillers and generators.
There is also a large selection of John Deere toys and kids and adult clothing. Murphy said they are great gift ideas.
Murphy said Ag Power sponsors many county fairs and community participation is a big deal for the business. Ag Power also supports many FFA organizations in the area and holds an annual Day of Play in September.

In addition to all the equipment Ag Power sells, the business sells Holland Grills and Big Green Egg Grills, as well as accessories to go with them.
Murphy said John Deere offers financing through John Deere Financial for customers on both big and small purchases.
Besides expanding customer service, Murphy said in the coming year Ag Power plans to keep up with ever-changing technology trends in the business.
