Norm Fredin, from the Freeborn County Fair, and myself, John Severtson, from the Albert Lea Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Group, are working to put together a World War II roundtable discussion event for the 2015 Freeborn County Fair. The event would be a time where veterans could share their stories with the community of serving in any of the armed forces.

Right now we are asking Freeborn County World War II veterans if they would be interested in being involved in this roundtable discussion. Or if anyone knows of a veteran who might like to talk about their service, please contact us.

The roundtable will likely take place from 11 a.m. to noon Aug. 5.
