Memorial services for Larry L. “Butch” Stephenson will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Larry passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at his home. He was 85.

Larry L. Stephenson was born Sept. 25, 1929, to Ole and Kitty (Stevens) Stephenson. Larry was mentally disabled from birth. That did not stop him from living life to the fullest of his capability. Larry loved to be outside, where he would whistle and twirl his cane. Larry was always dressed very sharply and had quite a collection of hats. He liked to laugh, strum his guitar and collect playing cards and photos.

Larry is survived by his loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Ole and Kitty Stephenson.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to REM Woodvale as well as Mayo Clinic Home Health and Hospice for their exceptional care that was given to him. Everyone quickly became family to him.
