Man, 19, dies in UTV crash in Wisconsin

SPRINGBROOK, Wis. — According to a press release a 19-year-old man has died after a utility terrain vehicle overturned in western Wisconsin.
The Dunn County sheriff’s office said the victim was a passenger on a Polaris Ranger that crashed Saturday on private property in the Town of Springbrook.
Nineteen-year-old Daniel Stokes of Lake City, was trapped under the UTV. Stokes was flown to Mayo-Eau Claire Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The sheriff’s office said the 20-year-old Bay City man who was operating the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
The sheriff’s office said the operator apparently was accelerating while making a turn when the UTV rolled onto the passenger side, trapping the passenger. Authorities state seat belts were not being used.
No charges are expected.
