With three of five weeks completed, the NRHEG clay target maintained its second-place spot the Class 4A Conference 4 standings, according to a press release.
At the top of the conference is McGregor-Aitkin-Cromwell, a team that expanded its lead over NRHEG.
However, NRHEG also expanded its lead over the rest of the field.
NRHEG had four shooters in the top 10 scores for the week.
The team was led by Sam Bartz of Waseca, who recorded his first perfect 25 of the season on his way to a 48-of-50 for the night. He was followed by last fall’s top conference shooter, Frank Altrichter of NRHEG, with 46-of-50.
On the season, NRHEG has been led by Kyle Bartz of Waseca, who is the top shooter in the conference with a 23.50 average. He is the only member of the team in the top 100 in the state.
As one of the top 25 marksmen in the conference, Kyle Bartz is joined by Tyler Raimann of NRHEG, fourth; Frank Altrichter of NRHEG and Collin Christianson of NRHEG, sixth; Alex Romer of Albert Lea, 10th; and Sam Bartz, 20th.
NRHEG shoots at 4 p.m. Wednesdays at the Owatonna Gun Club. Visitors are welcome.
