Outstanding senior citizen being sought

Nominations for county residents are being sought for the 2015 Outstanding Senior Citizen of Freeborn County.
Both a man and a woman who are 70 years of age by June 1 will be selected because of their outstanding community involvement. They will be honored at the Freeborn County Fair on Aug. 5.
Nominees must be a resident of Freeborn County and judging will be based on all contributions made to their community at or after the age of 65. This is the 26th year that Freeborn County has participated.
Persons wishing to make nominations can obtain official nomination forms from Senior Resources of Freeborn County, Skyline Plaza, 1659 W. Main St., or the Freeborn County Fair office located on the fairgrounds.
A previous county winner not chosen as the state winner is eligible; however, a 2015 nomination form must be completed.
Also, only one individual may be nominated per nomination form. Couple nominations will be disqualified.
Nomination forms must be submitted to the Freeborn County Fair Office, ATTN: OSC, Box 128, Albert Lea, MN 56007. The deadline for Outstanding Senior Citizen of Freeborn County nominations is July 17.
