MINNEAPOLIS — Authorities said a man and woman used stolen data to create copies of credit cards, buying thousands of dollars’ worth of gift cards.
According to a press release, a 35-year-old man from Chicago and a 21-year-old woman from Eagan have been arrested in the case. Court documents said they got credit card numbers stolen through a data breach at Home Depot, and that they then used the information to make fake cards.
