PINE ISLAND — A 10-year-old boy suffered serious injuries while trying to break up a dog fight at his home in Pine Island.

According to a press release, when sheriff’s deputies from Goodhue County arrived at the house Tuesday, they tried using water to separate the pit bulls. But, when that didn’t work a stun gun was used on the more aggressive dog, which died shortly after it was shocked.
