AITKIN  — Police said a 14-year-old Minnesota boy is in critical condition after he was accidentally shot in the neck by his father.

According to a press release, the boy from Aitkin was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. The Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office said his father was cleaning a pistol Sunday night when it fired, hitting the boy.
