Albert Lea Community Theatre will complete its 50th season with “South Pacific” from July 16 through July 25 at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center. To commemorate ACT’s anniversary, the 2014–2015 season features shows that were performed by ACT over the past five decades.

Originally performed by ACT in 1968, “South Pacific” is an epic musical romance that centers on a group of American sailors and Navy nurses stationed in the South Pacific during World War II. The show includes classic songs, such as “Some Enchanted Evening,” “There is Nothin’ Like a Dame,” “Bali’ Ha’i” and “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair.”

“South Pacific,” directed by Steven Kinney with musical direction by Barb Lang, will be performed at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center in downtown Albert Lea on July 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24 and 25. Shows start at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee show at 2 p.m. July 19.
