The American Red Cross asks eligible donors to donate blood in August and help meet the constant need for blood products by patients. Summer is an especially challenging time to collect enough blood to meet hospital needs. To help fulfill this need, the American Red Cross is planning a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Aug. 10 at Hy-Vee in Albert Lea.
