1 area student among those to graduate from NDSU
North Dakota State University graduated 1,719 students for spring 2015. Among those students was Albert Lea student Payton Jacob Lautenschlager. Lautenschlager earned a bachelor of science for agricultural systems management.
Local student named to Buena Vista University’s dean’s list
Two local students, Spencer Larson of Lake Mills and Nathan Rugroden of Albert Lea, were named to Buena Vista University’s dean’s list. The list was for the spring semester of 2015.
3 area students named to graduate and professional dean’s list
Amanda Lampman of Lake Mills, Brianna Paton of Emmons and Angela Tonelli of Albert Lea were named to Buena Vista University’s graduate and professional dean’s list. The list was for terms three and four of 2015.
Otten receives agriculture scholarship
Julia Otten of Hayward was awarded a $1,500 scholarship for her studies in plant science and crop genetics. The scholarship was sponsored by America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders, a new program.
Erdahl receives scholarship from Iowa State University
Hallie Erdahl received the Noma Scott Lloyd Memorial Scholarship from Iowa State University College of Human Sciences. The Department of Human Development and Family Studies sponsored this scholarship.
2 local students graduate from the College of St. Scholastica
The College of St. Scholastica held its spring commencement of 2015 on May 9. Lindsey Tollefson of Albert Lea and Lacey Hatland of Lake Mills were two among many to receive degrees.
Thompson named to USF dean’s list
Colleen Thompson of Clarks Grove was named to the University of Sioux Falls’ spring dean’s list of 2015. To have earned a place on the dean’s list, Thompson had to achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or greater.
3 area students receive degrees from Buena Vista University
Spencer Larson of Lake Mills graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in management. Along with Larson, Carol Follmuth-Vandell of Albert Lea earned a Master of Science in Education degree in guidance and counseling.
Daniel Stevens of Kensett graduated from Buena Vista University. Stevens took home a Bachelor of Arts degree in history.
