Come check out Bayside water ski show

If you’re not doing anything today at 7 p.m., you should head on down to Edgewater Bay. Why? Because the Bayside Water Ski Show Team is performing their first show and it is going to be great.

The first show was actually supposed to be last week, but due to high water was canceled.

I am the show director this year and am pretty excited. The show’s theme is based off of Marvel’s Avengers.

It features a band of villains who come in to steal the bay back from the ski team. So, the heroes are called in to save the day. The best part of the show is that it could end differently every week whether the heroes or villains win.

I have been skiing since I was 6. Never did I imagine I would be the show director. It has been a huge undertaking, but I’m starting to see all of my hard work pay off.

The ski team practices three nights a week and performs a show every Thursday at 7 p.m., along with a show on the Fourth of July and Labor Day, both at 2 p.m.

Also, mark your calendars for July 24 to 26 as Bayside will host the regional ski show competition. This will give you the opportunity to watch teams ski like you’ve probably never seen before. It would definitely be worth coming out to watch that.

I challenge you to find time to come watch a show this summer. You won’t be disappointed. Our skiers put a lot of hard work, time and energy into the sport.
