Editorial: Tribune looking for memories

Published 9:29 am Thursday, July 9, 2015

As a community newspaper, you, our readers, are what we value the most.

For that reason and others, we are looking to highlight some of our long-time readers and hear memories you have had of our newspaper over the years.

How long have you been reading or subscribing to the Tribune? Do you remember when you first started reading, and are there any articles from past years that you remember? Were there any editions that you kept for safekeeping to have years down the road?

What role has the newspaper played in your life and why do you enjoy reading it?

If you have some memories to share, please send them to Managing Editor Sarah Stultz by email at sarah.stultz@albertleatribune.com, or through the mail at 808 W. Front St., Albert Lea, MN 56007.

Though we have been charged to take care of the newspaper right now, the newspaper belongs to the community. We look forward to receiving your feedback.

On a similar note, the Tribune today in a small box on the bottom of the Front Page recognized one reader Agnes Boss for being a loyal subscriber. Starting today and running each day Monday through Friday, we will recognize a different subscriber. It is our way of saying thank you for being dedicated readers.
