First aid course available in Albert Lea

The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Minnesota will have a free mental health first aid training course in Albert Lea, designed to teach the basic first aid skills needed to help a person who is experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.

The eight hour course is aimed at improving mental health literacy. The clinic will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at American Legion Post 56, 142 North Broadway. Participants should bring a lunch. Participants will receive a course manual and certificate for completing the course.
