Fligge named to MUI board of directors

Keith Fligge of Albert Lea has recently been named to the Minnesota Utility Investors board of Directors.
Fligge, former president and founding partner of Almco Inc. an industrial deburring and metal finishing system manufacturer in Albert Lea, will serve on the MUI board with seven other member investors from throughout the state of Minnesota. The MUI board guides more than 54 annual member meetings, energy tours, Day at the Capitol events and develops grassroots advocacy on behalf of its members.
A MUI member since 1993, Fligge, and his wife, Deloris, are five generation Freeborn County residents who reside in Albert Lea. Together they raised three children and remain active in their community.
Fligge’s tenure at ALMCO spanned over 47 years, working his way from a sales position up to becoming president and co-owner for the last 16 years.
In 2004 the company was sold to Lou-Rich Innovance, which continues to operate in Albert Lea. Fligge has also served as president of the Albert Lea Port Authority, as a member of the Albert Lea Economic Development Agency and was on the board of Greater Jobs Inc.
