Stacy Bednar and the late Steven Kirsch of Albert Lea announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristine Kirsch, to Eric Mason, son of Joe and Cathy Mason of Chester, Iowa.

The bride is the granddaughter of Sharon Bednar of Albert Lea, Marvin and Dianna Bednar of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, and Faith and the late Thomas Kirsch of Albert Lea.

She’s a graduate of Albert Lea High School and received a degree in criminal justice from Riverland Community College. She is currently attending North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City, Iowa, to be a legal office specialist. She is employed as a dispatcher/corrections officer at both Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office and Worth County Sheriff’s Office. She is also on the Mitchell County Regional Health ambulance crew.

The groom is the grandson of Leroy and Joann Wegman of Riceville, Iowa, and Robert and Norma Mason of Chester.

He graduated from Cresco High School. He currently farms on the family farm and is an active member of the United States Air Force National Guard.

A Sept. 12, 2015, wedding is planned at Mason Farms in Chester.
