Look closer at progressives

Hillary Clinton recently said, “I consider myself a modern progressive.” One should look at the musings of progressives.
Mr. A. Hitler looked to American progressives and their ideas on eugenics to build his master race. Hitler also “used” Christianity.
Unlike our Founding Fathers, progressives believe we get our rights from the state, not from God. Democrat Chris Cuomo on CNN recently made that argument. Progressives tend to twist Christianity while criticizing fundamental Christians. It should be noted that Christianity is now said to be the most persecuted religion here and abroad.
Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood founder, had the state in mind when she said “My own position is that the Catholic doctrine is illogical, … definitely against the social welfare and race improvement.” She also said: “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.” Studies show that 79 percent of abortion clinics are in minority neighborhoods. In 2009 Hillary Clinton accepted an award from Planned Parenthood and said she admired Margaret Sanger “enormously.”
Conservatives maintain that a minimum wage causes layoffs and diminishes job opportunities. For this, conservatives are called heartless and haters. The reason progressives were for a minimum wage isn’t what you might think — it is much more heinous. Why were progressives for a minimum wage?
Economist Royal Meeker was Woodrow Wilson’s commissioner of labor. Meeker sought a minimum wage because it would cull workers from the work force. “Better that the state should support the inefficient wholly and prevent the multiplication of the breed than subsidize incompetence and unthrift, enabling them to bring forth more of their kind.”
A paper by Thomas C. Leonard stated that “Progressive era eugenics tended to be racist.” Leonard went on, “However, the progressive economists also believed that the job loss induced by minimum wages was a social benefit, as it also performed the eugenic service ridding the labor force of the ‘unemployable.’”
It’s ironic that both conservatives and progressives believed that a minimum wage would cause job loss. The difference is that conservatives saw it as a negative for both business and the individual. Progressives, on the other hand, saw loss of jobs as a positive to weed-out those they deemed “unemployable,” “parasites,” “slow-witted,” and “low-wage races.”
Both conservatives and progressives appear to be correct in the outcome of minimum wage: job loss. Look at the high unemployment in urban areas. Look at the situation in Baltimore where progressives (Democrats) have been in control for 40 years and in Detroit that was controlled by progressives for decades. The recent $15 minimum wage in Seattle is causing job and benefit losses.
Hillary declares herself a progressive. We’ve seen that progressives had twisted ideas and shoved God aside in favor of the state. So here is another statement by Ms. Clinton; “… deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.” Hillary, you and everyone else in Washington should keep your progressive hands out of the Christian church.
