Program receives donation of books

Early Childhood Family Education, Albert Lea Area Schools, Community Education was one of 28 organizations to receive donated books through Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation’s BookStart program, a partnership between SMIF and Capstone, based in Mankato. Liz McKay, manager of sustainability Coughlan Companies, Capstone and Jordan Sands; Tim Penny, president and SMIF CEO; Mary Jo Volkman, ECFE parent educator, community education for Albert Lea Area Schools; and Gail Beer, vice president of customer relations and fulfillment at Capstone, were on hand for the presentation of books. - Provided
