Thefts reported

A car theft was reported to Albert Lea police at 9:20 a.m. Friday at 110 S. Ermina Ave. The car was described as a blue 2004 Saturn Ion. A neighbor had allegedly asked to use the vehicle and allowed another person to take it. The vehicle had been gone for approximately three hours. The vehicle was returned prior to the officer clearing the scene.

A laptop was reported missing at 7:48 a.m. Friday at 109 Fenton Ave. in Albert Lea. The alleged victims said while they were in the basement during a storm warning, they heard footsteps upstairs. The battery was reportedly still there. The laptop was described as a Gateway Windows 7, model valued at $100. The suspect reportedly left the charger.

A computer was reported missing at 8:49 a.m. Sunday at 2301 E. Main St. in Albert Lea. The laptop was valued at $800.

A yellow and black men’s bike was reported stolen at 7:43 p.m. Sunday at 1317 St. Joseph Ave. in Albert Lea.

 

Tires reported slashed

A tire on a minivan and a tire on a trailer were reported slashed at 12:47 p.m. Friday at 1009 St. John Ave. Total loss was estimated at $180.

 

Fridge and microwave damaged

Albert Lea police received a report of a mini fridge and microwave thrown into the parking lot at at 7:20 p.m. Friday at Motel 65, 1611 S.E. Broadway Ave. A couple in Room 1 were reportedly feuding.

 

Hit-and-run crash reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported to Albert Lea police at 4:19 a.m. Saturday at 126 Euclid Ave. A car had reportedly pulled behind the alleged victim, hit his car and took off. No description was given. The vehicle sustained approximately $200 in damage.

 

Check forgery reported

A check forgery was reported to Albert Lea police at 1:48 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave. A white female with blonde hair allegedly attempted to use a forged check from Mayo Clinic.

 

Vehicle damaged

Albert Lea police received a report at 1:32 p.m. Sunday at 611 Johnson St. that there was a basketball-size dent in a tailgate, and weather stripping was reportedly pulled back on the passenger door. The vehicle was damaged sometime Saturday night while parked in the driveway.

 

Two arrested for domestic assault

Albert Lea police received a report of a male and a female fighting at 4:44 p.m. Sunday at 2222 E. Main St. Emily Ann Torres and Martez Moyloin Jones were arrested and held on domestic assault charges. Torres and Jones were reportedly fighting in a parking lot between Green Mill and Casey’s. Punches were allegedly thrown.
