MINNEAPOLIS — Four people have been named to a committee that will oversee an outside investigation of the University of Minnesota’s athletic department.
Norwood Teague stepped down earlier this month as the university’s athletic director after he was accused of sexually harassing two administrators during a July leadership retreat. Teague has apologized and vowed to seek treatment. A Star Tribune reporter has also accused Teague of harassment.
According to a press release, university regents Laura Brod and Abdul Omari will be on the committee. The school’s chief lawyer, William Donohue, will also serve on the panel, as will Jean Quam, dean of the College of Education and Human Development.
The university said last week that it was hiring two outside attorneys to investigate harassment allegations against Teague and other concerns.
