Criminal damage reported

A car window was reported smashed out at 8:18 a.m. Wednesday at 409 N. 8th Ave. in Albert Lea. A large rock was reportedly found sitting on the driver seat. No suspects were reported. Damage was estimated at $200.

A car was reported keyed at 10:09 p.m. Wednesday at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.

Thefts reported

A theft was reported at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave. in Albert Lea. There were reportedly two males and a female involved in the alleged incident. Police arrested Melissa Ruth Lyons, 35, at Walmart on theft by shoplifting and a Hennepin County warrant for theft.

A gas drive-off was reported at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday at 309 E. Main St. in Clarks Grove. A dark blue Chrysler 300 apparently left southbound on Interstate 35. Two suspects were identified, a male, reportedly well-dressed, and a female in a long flower dress with dark hair. The vehicle hasn’t been located. The gas reportedly was worth $46.74.

A theft by fraud was reported at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday at 131 S.E. Fifth St. in Glenville. The alleged victim allegedly tried cashing $4,000 worth of bad checks for money orders from a scam and owed the bank that money.

A dehumidifier was reported missing from a vacant house at 10:27 a.m. Wednesday at 1022 Fountain St. in Albert Lea. The alleged victim noticed a dehumidifier with a green hose missing Aug. 11. A sliding door at the rear of the house had been reportedly left unlocked. No suspects were reported.

Two wheelchairs were reported stolen at 8:01 p.m. Wednesday at 301 W. Clark St. in Albert Lea. One electric outlet was also reportedly broken.
