Mayo Clinic Health System’s Hospice in Albert Lea will host a bereavement camp for children Sept. 26.
The camp, Helping Hearts Heal, is for children grades kindergarten through 12th, who have experienced the death of a loved one. The activities will help participants understand their feelings and show them they are not alone in their grief.
Helping Hearts Heal activities planned so far include fun and games, memory activities, group discussion, climbing wall, art activities and an ice cream social.
The camp will be from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at Brookside Education Center, 211 W. Richway Drive in Albert Lea. For more information or registration materials call the hospice office at 507-377-6393. Registration is due Sept. 11.
Due to the generosity of Kiester for a Cure and many individuals donating to Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice, Helping Hearts Heal is offered free of charge, according to a press release.
