Charles and Megan McCaffrey of Chicago and Ron and Sandi Boekelman of Albert Lea announce the engagement of their children Katie McCaffrey and Brandon Boekelman.

The bride is a graduate of Montini Catholic High School in Lombard, Illinois, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in marine and environmental science from the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. She is employed at Boeing Co.

The groom is a graduate of Albert Lea High School and receive his Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Dayton Beach, Florida, and his Master of Science degree in systems engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri. He is employed at Boeing Co.

A Sept. 5 wedding is planned in Woodinville, Washington.
