We had the privilege of attending the first day of the Freeborn County Fair. Having lived here four years now in this beautiful community, I consider it a summer tradition to enjoy the fair and see all of the wonderful residents of our special town. I was particularly pleased too see such an impressive showing of the sheriff’s department. Sheriff Frietag had a beautiful table with an array of pamphlets and children’s items, promoting safety and anti-bullying. I have been so impressed with Sheriff Frietag’s first year in office. He has revitalized the department through social media, community awareness and a firm belief in public service. As we walked through the fair enjoying the many events, we were comforted by the exceptional presence of the sheriff’s deputies and personnel, creating a very safe and family friendly environment for all.
