Soccer captains start practice

Furland, a graduate of Albert Lea High School, is preparing for his second season on the University of Wisconsin-Superior men’s soccer team. Albert Lea’s first official practice, will be Aug. 17. Bob Furland, Tim Furland’s father, said he is excited to be coaching the Albert Lea boys’ team this season. Joe Squires stepped down as head coach after last season. — Micah Bader/Albert Lea Tribune
