MINNEAPOLIS — Authorities called the bomb squad to the University of Minnesota because of a suspicious looking package.

Coffman Memorial Union was closed early today as a precaution while officials investigated. The Minneapolis fire chief said the package was a tent bag and was X-rayed and showed no safety concerns.
