2 school buses collide in Minneapolis; 2 students hurt

MINNEAPOLIS  — Police said two students and two adults suffered minor injuries when a pair of school buses collided in south Minneapolis.

According to a press release, the force of the impact Thursday morning caused one of the buses to jump the curb and slam into a house.

According to the police report, one of the buses was carrying 13 students when it collided near an intersection with the other bus, which didn’t have any passengers.

Two students, both 10 years old, were treated at a hospital for minor injuries. Both bus drivers also received medical attention.

The crash happened about 9:30 a.m. Both buses were operated by the Minneapolis and Suburban Bus Company, which contracts with Minneapolis Public Schools.
