According to a press release, Krause brings over 25 years of experience as an independent risk advisor, familiar with all lines of risk insurance, loss control, bonds, agribusiness risks and she is familiar with life, health, and group insurance.

Krause is active in the chamber and an honorary chamber ambassador. She is also active in the Lions Club and Austin Symphony Orchestra. Krause and her husband, Merle, own Lighthouse Theatre and Events Center located in Albert Lea. The couple resides in Albert Lea and have two children and two granddaughters.
