Bicyclist injured in crash with automobile

An Albert Lea man was injured after a bicycle collided with a car Monday night at the intersection of East Front Street and South Newton Avenue.

Todd Phillip Lee, 49, the rider of the bicycle, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. His injuries were deemed not life-threatening, according to the Albert Lea Police Department.

Police stated the bicycle was reportedly traveling east on Front Street, and a 2006 Ford, driven by Annmarie Schleck, 60, of Albert Lea was going north on Newton Avenue.

Both reportedly slowed for the stop signs at the intersection, but neither stopped. It was reportedly a slow-speed crash.

Alcohol was not a factor.

The bicycle reportedly received minor damage.
